A Good Dog Story
Dogs are great companions. Dogs make us happy. Dogs make us laugh. We love our dogs. A good dog story is an uplifting treasure. When I heard that my friend Taffy had found aid for her elderly dog to walk again, I had to investigate.
I live with my husband and our dogs at 9,000 feet in a tiny mountain village, in the Colorado Rockies. Life here isn’t easy but those of us who live here do so because we really like it.
Before COVID , (we are always going to be saying that) a gathering of us girlfriends was a regular occurrence.

Me smiling, “It is. Especially in the cold months with all the noisy visitors gone and a warm fire softly crackling as I drink hot coffee and write for long stretches uninterrupted.
Between the vaccine and perfect weather a change is the safe gathering of friends
It’s interesting being so closely connected to nature. As the season changes from winter to spring and from summer to autumn, we sometimes get graupel up here in the mountains.
My husband and I returned home from a memorable trip to Italy at the end of October 2019. We were shocked a few weeks later about the flooding where we had recently been in Vince and then again a few months later about the Coronavirus in Italy.
