Reflections in the San Juan's
Color!
These petunias make me think of the night sky
And they were for a fund raiser for the senior’s activities
These blue flowers (corn flowers?) always make me think
of our deceased neighbor Chris, who gave me
some of his when I commented on the pretty color.
Joy:
the little moments that call out to us
this is the first wild iris of the season
Dogs!
Dogs are synonymous with joy
Playing fetch is a silly-serious game!
the softer bits of life
an intense moment of color
making the time to be grateful
for this minute
a good snack
my husband planting pansies
in the container my son gave me
and protecting the flowers from the deer
an interaction with another person –
Matt and Bliss are gentle with each other
Joy is this moment in time as my friend,
who is in treatment for breast cancer is texting me that she is
on her way for chemo and so ‘very thankful
she has my letter to read during it.’
Claude Monet attempted to record an ‘in the moment’ impression that a scene gave him. I relate, as I attempt to do this with my photography. Here is the color and joy that fills his garden, home and paintings. The end result, is timeless beauty.
