Joy

Joy:

the little moments that call out to us

this is the first wild iris of the season

Dogs!

Dogs are synonymous with joy

Playing fetch is a silly-serious game!

the softer bits of life

an intense moment of color

making the time to be grateful

for this minute

a good snack

my husband planting pansies

in the container my son gave me

and protecting the flowers from the deer

an interaction with another person –

Matt and Bliss are gentle with each other

Joy is this moment in time as my friend,

who is in treatment for breast cancer is texting me that she is

on her way for chemo and so ‘very thankful

she has my letter to read during it.’

Joy is my daughter calling me this morning to talk

about her precious little boy who just graduated from kindergarten.

Here are the sweet words to their graduation song:

“One year older

One year wiser

One year taller and stronger and brighter

One step closer to being the best that I can be

Thank you for helping me

Our lights are burning bright

Knowledge is our guiding light

Happy graduation day

We have come such a long way”

Joy is Always Around

Gathering the bit and pieces of joy

Is Contentment in life.

What gives you JOY?
