These petunias make me think of the night sky
And they were for a fund raiser for the senior’s activities

These blue flowers (corn flowers?) always make me think
of our deceased neighbor Chris, who gave me
some of his when I commented on the pretty color.
These perennials are among the first color in our spring garden.

Fun!
Good food!
Bruce cooked us this tasty Hello Fresh dinner last night
And

We watched (1/2 of) the 20-year-old original Prada movie
We’ll finish it tonight
And
Tomorrow afternoon we will go see the new Prada movie!
We are Meryl Streep fans and it’s just fun. We don’t care about fashion.

Two things that have been weighing on me that I got taken care of yesterday:
Since the puppies became part of our family last March, I’ve been wondering
about good care for them when we are away / traveling.
Bruce pointed out that they can’t be unsupervised at home as all our dogs in the past have been.
Yesterday I found it! They spent 3 hours at Doggie Cabin Resort in Gunnison
while Bruce and I attended to other things.
I was texted pictures and report cards .
Faith loved the pool!
Bliss was curious about the other dogs from her arrival.
Faith was a bit more concerned.
Faith and Bliss’s behavior was what I expected.
This is such a relief.

The other thing, getting Cortizone shots in my knees.
As far as I can remember, I have been getting one in my right knee
every other year since 2022. This time my left knee needed relief as well.
I stood the pain as long as I could.
None of the more temporary fixes were working well as I was well past
the 2nd year mark of the last one.
I want to walk our nature trail with my husband and our dogs without hurting.
Our son and family are coming in July.
Bruce and I have trips planned for later in the year.
It was time.
I got this taken care of!
My PA and I spoke of knee replacement for the future.
My 86-year-old friend had a successful 3-month recovery period.
That’s what I’m going for.
Pain affects everything – as does not being in pain!

My husband enjoys buying me flowers
and knows I like purple.
Another little joy – I had just the right vases.

We have Mass on Saturdays
from the end of May – the end of September
because that is when the snow is not a threat
for the drive to our little mountain church.
Our visiting priest is from Chicago and knew Pope Leo
before he was Pope and shared stories.
It was a happy connection to be a part of.
What’s good Going on with you?!
“Walks in nature are hugs for my soul.” Julie A R Stephens
Beautiful photos as always Julie. The theater sems very quaint; hope you enjoyed the movie 🙂
Raj!
You are a treasure. Can you believe we’ve stayed connected since 2022 when we met in Germany ~!
Our whole little mountain village is adorable and the movie theater unique. The owner gives door prizes!
The movie was fun. They made it work connecting the sequel with the original movie.
Thanks for reading and posting friend!
