Life from My View: Advent, Snow, The Puppies

Advent wreaths are circular, representing God’s infinite love, and are usually made of evergreen leaves, which “represent the hope of eternal life brought by Jesus Christ”.
Each element is symbolic of aspects of the Christmas story and our faith. Traditionally the candles used are three purple and one pink. Purple, the color associated of royalty, represents prayer, penance, and works of mercy we take on during the season. The pink (rose) represents joy.
The 4 candles represent the weeks before Christmas. This year: November 30, December 7, 14 and 21. Light one purple candle on the fourth Sunday before Christmas Day. Light two purple candles on the third Sunday. Light the first two purple candles and the pink candle on the second Sunday. Light all the candles on the Sunday before Christmas Day.

The puppies are 10 months old now. Having been born in January and having come to us in March they are being reintroduced to snow. And, they like it! You can play in in and eat it too! I can’t help but think how this time last year Hope was alive, Danny was alive…

Me totally ‘in the moment’ on our Thanksgiving hike. So grateful..
What are you so grateful for…
